About the studio

One developer. A panda. Plenty of ideas.

BlueBurp Studio is the game studio of Vivek Kumar, an independent developer in India. It started in 2026 with a simple question: what would a 2048 look like if someone cared about every swipe?

Hello, I'm Vivek.

I make Android games on my own: design, code, art direction and the support inbox. BlueBurp is the name on the Google Play listing and on this website; behind it is one person who likes small, well-made things.

The first game, 2048 Tilewick, grew out of playing a lot of 2048 clones and wanting one that respected the player: clear tiles, honest best scores, a mode that teaches you to think ahead instead of just swiping, and comfort settings that are not an afterthought.

The second game, Gembao, is a retro platform game. Its hero, Bao, is a pixel panda with a blue scarf, like Burpy.

Every BlueBurp game will be free and supported by ads only. No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no pay-to-win. That is a promise I can keep because the studio is small and I would rather earn a little from many happy players than a lot from a few frustrated ones.

More games are sketched. Each one gets made properly before it ships.

How the games get made

Four habits.

Start with a known idea

Familiar mechanics let players start instantly. The craft goes into what happens after the first minute.

Test on real phones

Every build runs on actual devices before it ships. Jerky motion, tiny text and bad contrast get fixed, not shipped.

Comfort settings first

Themes, high contrast and reduced motion are in the first version, not a later update.

Keep it honest

Ads are the only revenue. The game never nudges you to spend, and progress is never held hostage.

Meet the mascot

Burpy, the BlueBurp panda.

Burpy is a round little panda with a Studio Blue scarf, a soft spot for number tiles and a habit of letting out little blue bubbles when a puzzle clicks. That is where the name comes from: a blue burp, which is also the sound of a good idea arriving.

Burpy is curious and a bit clumsy, plans three moves ahead and still gets surprised by the fourth. You will find Burpy cheering on the games pages, waving from the error page and, in time, inside the games themselves.

  • Likes: tidy boards, dark mode at night, one more round.
  • Dislikes: pop-ups, timers, anything that says "pay to continue".
  • Catchphrase: "Just one more merge."
